  ★★☆☆☆ Nope. Just Nope. Ugh - I am a big fan of these tiny recorders - but this --- warning bells everywhere. First, it is only after receiving it that you discover that it WILL NOT record on its own - you need to have the app working at the same time (gah - what's the darn point then? I might was well just use an app on the phone). But I thought - well, I might as well give it a try. First I download the app - easy - and, though I almost never read the terms and conditions before signing up for the app, I did - ha - all in chinese! I might was well be giving permission to drain my bank accounts for all I know. But - I continue on. Enter my email address and it will send you a one-time login code so you can sign up. OK - entered... got the email, and the login code is embedded in a PDF - which is UNreadable (by android phone and ipad both deemed it an unknown file format). I just hope I did not activate a new virus that will turn into the electronic version of Covid 19. So - run. run away. It's a shame since it is a beautiful feeling and well made piece of hardware.

  ★☆☆☆☆ Lacking in Features and Over-Complicated. Do yourself a favor and save your money. This "Magnetic AI Voice Recorder" is one of the most frustrating tech purchases I have made. It's advertised as a sleek, high-tech solution, but in reality, it's a poor recording device and a painfully restrictive piece of hardware.Microphone is a JokeThe most critical function of a voice recorder is, well, recording a voice. This device fails miserably. The microphone reception is absolutely abysmal. You could have the device right next to your mouth, practically eating it, and the resulting audio is still faint, muffled, and practically unusable. Forget trying to record a lecture or a meeting from any distance—it can barely pick up a whisper from inches away! The whole point of an expensive "AI" recorder is to get clear audio for transcription, and this thing can't even handle basic sound capture.Requires the App for EVERYTHINGThis is not a standalone device; it's just a bad microphone tethered to its required application. The device itself will not function on its own to record anything. You are forced to use the clunky, required app for every single recording session. I purchased a recorder, not a mandatory, always-on smartphone accessory. This is a massive inconvenience and completely defeats the purpose of having a dedicated, portable recording unit.No Ports, No FreedomAs if the poor microphone and app requirement weren't bad enough, the lack of basic features seals the deal. The device has no output ports or capability whatsoever. You cannot listen back instantly, you can't plug in better external mics, and you certainly can't transfer files without their mandated cloud system. You are completely locked into their ecosystem, turning the 1TB of cloud storage (which is probably just a way to sell your data) into a necessity rather than a bonus.In summary, this is an expensive, functionally crippled product. It's a magnetic brick that can't hear and won't work without constant smartphone intervention. Do not buy this.
